I am getting closer to completing the Rachel's Rhema blog and I am second guessing everything.
Asking myself questions like:
"What's the point?"
"Is anyone actually going to read your posts?"
"Do you really think you will somehow gain additional income this way?"
Thoughts are roaming in my mind like:
"You're site doesn't have a 'how to' focus that's why it won't be successful."
"These other blogs are so much better than yours."
"You know people don't read anymore."
I have created so many blog sites and deleted them because of the same questions and thoughts stated above. Each time I think about this blog and what it means to me and what I want it to mean for those reading it; I start to panic. I don't claim to be an amazing writer or even that my story is unique. What I do claim, is my willingness to share it.
A few weeks ago a student came into my office. She started a blog called 1998Miss in middle school. When I told her I was interested in starting my own blog she simply reminded me of how God directs our path and she prayed for Him to bless her blog. Knowing that she was doing it for the Lord, she found the boldness to start. Now, she has over 7,000 followers and has traveled internationally to share the Christian perspective on modest fashion.
In this moment I choose to remember her. As I sat there supporting her as a Career Center Coach, she was sent there supporting me as reflection of what God can do.
